On Saturday, October 12th, we are having our second "SoCal Brunch". It will start at 12 PM, so get your training in before then. This is a pot-luck style brunch, so sign up if you're coming and include what you're bringing. The sign up sheet will be posted on the cork board by the success board.
The purpose of the brunch is to bring unity to our club by addressing some important topics about training, weightlifting, and protecting our culture here. There will also be valuable information about nutrition, recovery, and competition. Hope to see you there!

Halloween Pong Tournament
We are having another costume contest/pong tournament on October 25th! The buy in is $10 a team, so grab someone with good aim or who you know partied a lot in college, and enter to win the collective pot. Winner takes all!
We will also have a competition for costumes in a variety of categories.
There is still time to register for the first ever LWC meet in November. Please consider signing up to volunteer if you can! SoCal has quite the reputation for our willingness to get involved with the greater weightlifting community and volunteering, let's keep that up!
SoCal Strength: Grand Re-Opening
November 9th, we are having a grand re-opening party! We are rebranding Newport Strength as SoCal Strength - which will include our group fitness classes as well as SoCal Weightlifting Club. There will be events for Weightlifters as well as fitness classes, raffles, vendors, and of course good food. Please mark your calendars and spread the word! More details to come.
